Apple Glasses: Next To Hit The Market

Talking of the apple glasses, these are new products that are yet to hit the market but are already making waves on various media platforms and in the technological world. 

Many brands and companies have released different glasses with diverse qualities and classes, of which the  Oculus Rift is a typical example. Now, here goes the big question; What makes apple glasses so noteworthy?

Hints of the consumer tech – augmented reality (AR) glasses started making waves in the technological world in 2017, since then, the number of leaks, rumors, and even patents surfacing has increased in recent months. The augmented-reality (AR) glasses are see-through with transparent lenses and attach a digital overlay over the field of vision.

Also, AR glasses can project a tiny screen on one or both lenses for the user to see. These augmented reality glasses are light, portable, and can be used outside like the usual glasses. Though pictures of the actual design of the apple glasses have not been released yet rumor has it that, apple would want these AR glasses to be easily accessible and also look as fashionable as possible.

According to Apple Insider , a patent revealed late in 2020 points to an Apple VR or AR headset automatically adjusting the lenses placed in front of the user's eyes by using fluids to deform the shape of the lens to improve the user's eyesight. The patent suggests a series of lens components around a central fluid chamber that can be inflated and emptied by a connected pump and reservoir.

 Moreover, it is rumored that the apple glass won't need a prescription lens as the smart glasses will automatically adjust for people with poor eyesight by using an optical sub-assembly.

Characteristically, the eyewear is expected to synchronize with a user's iPhone to display information such as texts, emails, maps, other health apps, and games over the field of vision. However, this patent could be for a standalone smartphone-powered Virtual Reality headset or a second-generation pair of Apple smart glasses.

Another patent describes how the AR glasses will let you view parts of the world you would love or like to see. This feature is quite similar to that of google's Street View but makes the difference in that this view would be projected directly onto the Apple glass lens and could make you digitally teleport to adverse locations.

One of the more pressing patents suggests that it could make you see better in the dark through depth sensors that furnish an eminent look at the world around you. There are no plans for the first generation of Apple Glass to come in a tinted variety. Maybe in the near future, you're stuck with using your regular 'ole sun blockers. But if Apple Glass takes off, perhaps the company would consider expanding its offerings. 

Apple gives patents to hundreds of technologies every year, but many never make it into Apple products. On the contrary, these patents for some form of Apple glasses indicate their direction with this product and the future of Apple's Augmented-Reality glasses.



Apple glasses release date and price

As of 15th September this year,  Apple is set to release the glasses in late 2022 and early 2023. The price for the glasses hasn't been specified and most apple customers are anticipating the price offers.
